Engine Room Supervisor / SUPERVISOR DE PRAÇA DE MÁQUINAS

Responsible for supervising or carrying out the maintenance and operation of all machine room equipment and systems under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent and being proactive, in order to maintain a high standard of maintenance and operation, so that they are carried out technically efficiently, in accordance with schedule as, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, in order to contribute to all equipment and systems being operational and preserved for the assigned unit.

Modec is looking for professional to work as Engine Room Supervisor in an Offshore opportunity.

To develop activities such as:

• Assist, coordinate and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, and all instrument / control systems under Maintenance Supervisor / Superintendent guidelines;
• Perform regular rounds, check areas of machinery and all equipment on engine room, main deck / topsides, repair any defects and report (Root Cause Analysis) as required. Assist in other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Superintendent;
• Ensure proper watch keeping and monitoring of all equipment and rapid response to alarms and shutdowns of equipment;
• Supervise oiler / roustabout, and other team members when carrying out maintenance activities, including machinery and equipment related to the Maintenance and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in this role;
• High School Degree;
• STCW III/1 or III/2;
• Advanced English.
