Main Responsibilities
General Management
- Develop and implement strategies aligned and supportive of regional and global functions as well as the short-term cross Service Line country tactics and KPI’s to measure the progress attaining country, region and global goals.
- Lead the Service Line and Project Management Office Managers to ensure successful operations.
- Full ownership and accountability towards the P&L and Balance Sheet of the Business Line, ensuring financial health and growth inline with the regional and corporate goals and expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Regularly review and analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Review monthly operational results and defend them to the Regional office, establishing or taking corrective measures in case of unsatisfactory results.
- Consolidate the forecast of financial performance and sales, working towards achieving performance targets.
- Represent the company in agreements with clients and suppliers.
- Identify potential risks to the Business Line and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
- Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct, as well as HSSE and HR policies, by all staff under their responsibility.
- Encourage a culture of innovation by fostering creativity and supporting new ideas and initiatives within the team.
- Promote the delivery of operational and project excellence. Monitor and evaluate monthly, together with Senior Management, the financial results of projects, from mobilization to Client payment.
- Prepare the annual budget in collaboration with Service Line Managers and Controller, meeting Regional targets and within corporate policy, ensuring the goals are met.
- Maintain high standards of ethics and compliance with all local laws.
- Create a strong level of collaboration end engagement with the BL managers and directors in the region and global to share best practices and lessons learnt, enabling cross region and cross BL synergies.
- Foster a talent development environment to ensure a strong succession pipeline in all the critical functions, including his / her own.
Sales
- Establish the Business Development Plan and sales targets in conjunction with the Strategic Sales Manager and Service Line Managers.
- Participate in bid/no bid and proposal strategy meetings. Review and approve proposals according to the authority matrix of the Americas Region.
- Gömü commercial priorities that will support the achievement of financial targets.
- Participate in project review meetings to learn from execution and implement lessons learned into the bidding process.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape, adjusting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Legal and Strategic Sales Manager to secure the best agreements with clients, ensuring compliance with Fugro’s contractual rules, Code of Conduct, and financial interests.
- Visit clients to gather intelligence on their pain points, feeding strategic and tactical decisions.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and engagement with potential clients.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to Regional Management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Support sales manger and service lines managers to establish a strong sales funnel from early stages leads all the way to conversion to orders, ensuring close monitoring of the sales funnel quality and conversion rate and cycles.
- Foster relationships with key industry stakeholders to enhance business opportunities and market presence.
- Lead and mentor the Strategic Sales Manager and Business Development Professionals, providing guidance and support to promote Fugro’s solutions.
Talents
- Identify training and development demands to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
- Analyze and act on the results of internal engagement surveys, focusing on talent retention and workforce engagement in corporate objectives.
- Support staff development and manage succession pipeline at all levels of the business.

QHSSE
- Represent the corporation’s interests and support the QHSSE team in implementing preventive measures, providing necessary resources, and acting exemplarily in these areas.
- Ensure that the QHSSE Policy and related objectives are accomplished by their Business’ staff.
- Ensure the integration of Integrated Management System requirements into the organization’s business processes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Promote conditions for achieving QHSSE indicators.
- Protect workers from retaliation when reporting incidents, hazards, risks, and opportunities.
- Conduct visits to operational sites, exercising visible leadership.
- Conduct behavioral audits and ensure that the team conducts behavioral audits as per the established target.

Preferably in Business Management or technical specialization in areas of interest
Technical Experience/Management Experience
15+ years in business management, in a senior leadership position overseeing large teams and with at least 10 years directly managing P&B and Balance Sheet.
