The Opportunity
This position works out of our Belo Horizonte factory in the Structural Heart business. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
As the Project Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to independently or lead a project team of cross functional engineers to support div projects across organization, manage important and challenging projects, as well as gömü project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations.
What You’ll Do
- Independently or lead a project team to identify, scope, plan and conduct medium-size to complex assigned projects.
- Communicate project progress and escalate issues to management in a timely manner.
- Understands the business needs and özgü a thorough knowledge of the customer when developing a project scope.
- Incorporates business foresight of emerging technological trends.
- Leads development of Project Charter and documents the initial requirements that satisfy the stakeholder’s needs and expectations.
- Establishes engineering project objectives and technical criteria for evaluating project results and activities of the project team.
- Monitors and controls project work to meet the performance objectives defined in the project plan. Focuses on cost and milestone achievement to optimize resource utilization.
- Identifies areas of risk and mitigates risks through early risk assessments and implementation of fallback / mitigation strategies.
- Uses established PM tools and techniques to stay within authorized budget limits and achieve the overall project and organizational objectives.
- Assist users in defining new complex data reports by translating user needs to Power BI reports.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis to evaluate savings potential, track performance and inform decision making.
- Develop qualitative insights from reports to inform business decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in mechanical, industrial, chemical, electrical, bio-medical or related discipline;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering or operational role;
- Sorun solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading gross margin, distress inventory reduction, material run-out, compliance projects, and 2nd supplier qualification for class 3 medical devices;
- Experience in data mapping across multiple system;
- Experience working with a global Data Warehouse SAP Business Objects to use for complex reporting
- Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
- Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
